Specifications
The basic idea behind an enclosed blast facility is to collect and reuse the abrasive. Consequently, the method of collecting, cleaning and recycling the abrasive becomes the single most important feature. Canablast's automatic, under-floor recovery system is economically more efficient than other recovery systems.
Canablast's recovery system combines the best features of mechanical collection with pneumatic gathering and elevating. Depending on the size of the system, it is powered by a 2-5 hp gear reduction motor.
The mechanical sweeper gathers the spent abrasive and pushes it into pneumatic cross-conveyor hoppers. A single 2 - 8 hp fan (varies with system size) pneumatically transfers abrasive through the ducting and across the building to where it is elevated and cleaned. The cleaned abrasive is dropped into the storage hopper and dusty air is exhausted to the air filtration system.
Canablast's shallow sub-floor design is easy to install. It requires a grade level excavation of only 16" for permanent facilities. The automatic under-floor recovery system may be installed on top of a concrete slab or timbers in both permanent and portable applications. Continuous reuse of the same abrasive results in considerable savings for your blasting operations. |
